We are going through some changes at the new house right now. We have done so much in the short year in a half that we lived here and it is slowly becoming our own I have been taking pictures of the progress as we go, but my camera died today after I was taking pictures. I thought I might as well share after pictures of the old house, since we (Brett) did quite a bit to it as well.
KITCHEN
To the right is the doorway that leads to the garage and to the left leads you to the living room. Brett also added in a sliding glass door which leads to a deck that he built as well. Before this wall had nothing on it.
The kitchen makeover included new sheet rock/taping and texture, paint, new back splash, new flooring, counter tops, as well as adding a new door and trim.
In the original kitchen the fridge sat right in front of the window to the left in the above picture. The stove was also placed where the fridge is now. After a little thinking and a couple rearrangements, we came up with this placement. It allowed us to open up that window and let more light in. All the appliances where previously in there except the microwave above the stove.
LIVING ROOM
Living room just received some new paint and added decorations.
OFFICE
MAIN FLOOR BATHROOM
In this room we tore down old sunflower wallpaper and took out an old teal vanity. A new vanity was brought in along with toilet, medicine cabinet, paint, lighting, and flooring
FRONT ENTRY
This room received quite a bit for being such a small room. We put in new flooring, new paint, new lighting, and added a new door. This turned out to be one of my favorite rooms of the house. I think it was mainly because I feel in love with the floor.
THE DECK
UPSTAIRS HALLWAY
Straight ahead is our bedroom. To the left is a nook with two closets and a window and to the right is a spare bedroom.

UPSTAIRS BATHROOM
This room was almost completely gutted as well. We made the bathroom bigger by ripping out a closet and in the place we were able to place a bigger new vanity. The walls were in tough shape so we covered them in knotty pine.
The opening for the shower was made for a 56'' tub/shower combination. We struggled to find one since the standard tub size was 60''. When we were able to find one it cost almost twice as much for a normal tub and that was without the surround. Luckily we were able to find this corner unity that fit in perfectly. And to my advantage the tub just happened to have jets!
HOUSE
Our home for the first year of our marriage. Here is a picture of Brett putting up Christmas lights in the fall of 2012.
